Following the successful concerts in the second half of 2005 with Kirklandpark Primary School, SCS have established a Junior Choir to encourage singing amongst the children of Strathaven. Developement funding for this venture in the 2006/07 session was been kindly provided by South Lanarkshire Council. The Junior Choir joined the Choral Society at their concerts during the 2006/07 and this will continue during the 2007/08 session.

The 2007/08 season practice dates are:-
Autumn/Winter 2007 Term	10 September 2007 to 10 December 2007 (except the school half term week in October 2006)
Winter/Spring 2008 Term	7 January 2008 to the May 2008 Concert (except February 2007 half term holiday, Easter Weekend and the Spring School Holiday)
Additional Practices will be arranged as necessary
