Voices for Hospices BT Voices for Hospices - Handel's Messiah

BT Voices for Hospices - Handel's Messiah is the world's largest simulaneous singing event and now spans over forty countries in every time zone enabling a continous 24 hour event. Throughout the UK alone there were over 240 venues all commencing at 7:30pm.

For this performance Strathaven Choral Society were joined by members of Glasgow Cathedral Choral Society, Bearsden Choir, Glasgow Philarmonic Male Voice Choir and Eastwood Choral Society to form a chorus of over 200 voices, accompanied by the City of Glasgow Symphony Orchestra.

Chorus Master of the RSNO Chorus and Music Director of the RSNO Junior Chorus and the National Youth Choir of Scotland, who enjoys an international reputation as a conductor.

Pre-concert foyer music was performed by Hutchesons' Grammar School, Knightswood Secondary School and Laurel Park School between 6:45pm and 7:15pm

Proceeds from this concert benefited The Prince and Princess of Wales Hospices.
